Working at sea as Chief Engineer with Petroship (Singapore) Limited since 1994. Soon he is going to move to Singapore with his family as Singapore resident. His wife Royena Farooq Nira recently completed her Master's examination. Their two sons Annaf and Rakin are aged four and one respectively. It is needless to say that Mr. Farooq is the second son of Mr. Nurul Amin, ex-Chief Education Officer, Marine Academy and younger brother of Capt. Manucheher M. Iqbal.
