Mariners Name: Khairul Islam

Description: In Dhaka. Serving US Merchant Marine as Chief Engineer (Motor) and First Engineer (Steam) with various US flag ships and US Naval research vessels. Sailing as US Merchant Marine since 1990. Prior to that worked for Hyundai Merchant Marine in the Intermodal operations in New Jersey office. In December 1983 obtained MS in Marine Transportation Management from SUNY Maritime College, New York. Presently holds U.S. Coast Guard and Irish Chief Engineer's license. Residing in Gulshan, Dhaka, with his wife, daughter and son.
