Captain Shamsuz Zaman 11N: Returned home after treatment
Following email briefly describes the treatment of Captain Shamsuz Zaman’s in a Chennai hospital, India and safe return home.
Respected Sirs, my mates and brothers of the fraternity
Before everything let me thank CE Tareq sir 7E and my batch mate Captain Ghulam Hussain 11N for keeping you appraised re my
ailment ( stomach cancer ) that came to me like ‘a bolt from the blue’ some four months back.
Informations relayed by them sometime perhaps appeared little scanty and confusing. This happened because of change of decision of doctors when they made certain mistake to diagnose the desease both in Dhaka and Chennai and later go for corrective action. This changed info that i passed to them over phone.
Well, followed by approx two months of chemotherapy at Dhaka, Bithi ( my wife ) and I moved to Apollo specialised hospital, Chennai, India for further treatment.
We stayed in Chennai for about two months and after required treatment/ procedures, my ‘onco surgeon(s)’ suggested
“ issues those needed our attention to treat the disease have been taken care of / corrected and you will not need any follow up visit to us or go for any therapy”
Alhamdulillah those were big reassuring wordings from my doctor(s) before we left Chennai .
We arrived back home on 3rd May and now maintaining a strict quarantine at home.
Our thanks to BD HC / AHC at Delhi and Agartala respectively for advising us about this Agartala route and also for arranging smooth crossing of boarder. Without this help our ‘home coming’ might have been delayed due to lockdown in BD.

On our way back home from Chennai
My thank and gratitude to you all for keeping me in your prayers during my ailment. Hope you will keep it ongoing in future too.
Salam
Captain Shamsuz Zaman 11N
