إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Captain Farid Hossain (12N), who left us this morning in Montreal after a prolonged period of illness. May Allah grant him Jannatul Ferdous and grant his family the strength and patience to bear this great loss.

We fondly remember Captain Farid Hossain’s dedication to our community. He played a significant role in organizing the 5th Juldia Marine Academy Alumni Association (JMAAA) Reunion in Montreal in 2020, which remains a cherished memory for many of us.

Who among us can forget the grand dinner and cultural evening held at Côte-des-Neiges Hall, 6767 Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, an event where alumni, mariners, spouses, and children came together in warm fellowship. The spirited song competition between the USA and Canada, indeed, even between the Gents and the Ladies, brought laughter, joy, and unforgettable camaraderie.

Time flows swiftly, and today we find ourselves bidding farewell to a friend, a colleague, and a brother.

May Allah envelop Captain Farid Hossain in His Mercy and grant him eternal peace in Jannatul Ferdous.
