Cargo ship that nearly collided with home gets refloated and towed

NCL Salten, the cargo vessel that ran aground narrowly avoiding collision with nearby homes, was successfully pulled off ground from Byneset in Trondheim on 27 May in the ongoing salvage operation.
According to the company statement, NCL Salten was inspected by divers after the ship was pulled off ground before being towed to the Port of Orkanger to unload the rest of the containers on board. The ship will then be more thoroughly examined.
Furthermore, the crew has been on board since the grounding, to secure the ship and assisted during the salvage operation.
We know there are a lot of questions raised about the incidents. NCL will continue to support the police in their investigation once the ship is safe at port in Orkanger. There, NCL will also proceed with our own.
