The Victorian mariners arranged a lunch reception for Captain Khairul Anam (9N) and Ghulam Suhrawardi (6N)

My trip to Melbourne at the end of October was very memorable. My batchmate Engineer Dilwar Hossain (6N) meticulously planned our stay. My wife and I stayed in his house, where a dinner was held for the mariners on Saturday, the 26th. The Victorian mariners arranged a lunch reception for Captain Khairul Anam (9N) and me the next day. Besides a sumptuous lunch and activities, they awarded us with a recognition plaque. I did not expect such a reception. I remain grateful to the Victorian mariners for this arrangement. I urge all Bangladeshi mariners to work selflessly to attain their goals back home. In this regard, their cooperation with the maritime leaders in Bangladesh will benefit all Bangladeshi mariners ashore and afloat.
