Captain Ruhul Amin 14N passed away

Captain Ruhul Amin passed away on January 18, 2024, in Dhaka. The reasons for his death are not known.

Inna Lillahey O’inna Ilaihey Rajeun. May Allah forgive him and grant Jannatul Ferdous.

He was Mohammed Mohiuddin’s elder brother (36N).

His remains are now at Ever Care Hospital. From here, will be taken to his house Bashundhara J Block, Road 3, House 107. His Namaz E Janaja will be held at Bhairab, near graveyard close to rail station after Johor Prayer on the 20, January.

Captain Ruhul Amin was the Head of Operations at the Water transport wing of Bashundhara Food & Beverage Ltd.

There were very few Gas carrier experienced seafarers in 2018. If we just look at scenario, now Bangladesh has a good number of Gas carrier experienced seafarers working onboard LNG, VLGC & LPG vessels of many world-renowned companies. 

During this period, Bangladesh has proudly registered VLGC and Gas carrier ships under Bangladesh flag for the first time. First ever Gas STS operation successfully conducted here in Chittagong. 

The maritime nation should be in debt of the person who was the dreamer and leader of this industry in Bangladesh what we are enjoying today. Many bulk carrier background mariners are successfully working onboard Gas carriers only for him.

He was suffering from Cancer for last One and half years. We may forget him tomorrow, but his work, and contributions will be remembered always. He contributed in the STS simulation in Bangladesh Marine Academy, Chattogram and also arranged jobs for many.
