Assalamualikum 

Australia is facing serious seafarers’ crisis since August 2023. This crisis will continue for next few years.

Young Officers and Engineers from Bangladesh those are interested to take this opportunity come here as an international student and then apply for job. 

For study You can apply for class 3 or Class 2 courses. If you already have Master 1 or Chief Engineer class 1 Tickets then apply for something else. You just need to physically be here in Australia. That’s all…….

Do not think company will recruit you from Bangladesh. They can’t do it because of union issue. Physically you need to be here in Australia and the student visa is the easiest way to come here. 

All your school vacations you are allowed to work full time. Any college or university their annual vacation starts from Early November till end of February. Means legally you are having 4 months fulltime work right. Earnings from working onboard for 2 months is more than enough to cover you all year livings and your course fees. 

Just from this September they are taking officers and engineers without any offshore experience which was impossible in few months ago. 

Example my ship current 2nd Officer is from Serbia. Before he was working on MISC container vessel from his country. Few months back he came to Australia to learn English, I mean came under student visa to study English language. Now he is working on offshore vessel in Australia under student visa. 

Before this Christmas (December) job market will go supper crazy.  

Salary guidelines (offshore) 2nd Officer/3rd Engineer 

PER DAY $1300-1400 or More (including leave), 

+ PLUS 14.5% Super which goes to your retirement fund.
