BANGLADESH MARINE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (BMAAA)

(Minutes of the Executive Committee meeting)

An Executive Committee meeting of Bangladesh Marine Academy Alumni Association through ZOOM (ZOOM ID: 93061986487) was held on 12th March 2021, 1900 hrs ( BD time).

The Members present were as follows:

1.         Mr. Ghulam Suhrawardi (6N) —————————- Vice President

3.         Engr. Faisal Al Asaduzzaman (28 E) ——————- Asst. General Secretary

4.         Capt. M.A Malek (16 N) ———————————- Treasurer

5.         Capt. Quamrul Hossain( 6N)—————————– Member

6.         Capt. Intikab Ahmed Chowdhury (13 N)————– Member

7.         Capt. Saydur Rahman (14N)—————————–  Member

8.         Capt. A.B.M Shameem (24N)—————————- Member

9.         Engr. A. M Fazle Rashid (16 E)————————— Member

The meeting was presided over by the Vice President Mr. Gulam Suhrawardi; As per the agenda the following issues were discussed and resolved:

1. Resignation of Capt. M. A.  Jalil (President) was accepted by the EC committee and Mr. Gulam Suhrawardi (6 N) was selected by EC committee members as New president of BMAAA. EC selected Capt. Intikab Ahmed Chowdhury (13 N) as Vice- President.

2. Discussed about BMAAA constitutional guideline section 4(a) regarding formation and total number of EC members. As per constitution Executive Committee should be consists of 16 members and to fulfil the requirements EC approved adaption of new members. The new members are as follows:

•           Capt. Murad (25 N) ————————— Member 

•           Engr. Golam Zilani (37 E) ——————– Member

•           Capt. Mir Al Beruni (24 N) —————— Member

•           Engr. Shakawat Hossain (16 E) ————- Member

•           Engr. Zillur Rahman (25 E) ——————- Member

•           Engr. Angan Das (49 E) ————————Member

Due to adaption of new EC members the following existing EC member were replaced:

•           Engr. Harunor Rashid (23 E)

•           Engr. Shakawat Hossain (31 E)

•           Md. Saiful Islam Bhuiyan (44N)

3. It was decided to take necessary action for deactivation of face book page under AABMA and JMAAA.

4. EC agreed to open a bank account and to collect fund from AABMA and JMAAA.

5. All EC members decided to establish a new website under new domain.

6. It was decided to use the following address as BMAAA offices in Dhaka and Chittagong.

7. All members from JMAAA and BMAAA will be included in the membership list of BMAAA and updated voter list to be prepared.

8. EC members agreed to conduct next meeting on 22nd may, 2021, BD time 19:30 .

There being no other agenda, the meeting ended with thanks to the chair.
