Naweed Omar 16E has received the AMSA (Australia Marine Safety Authority) Values in Action Award

Naweed Omar 16E has received the AMSA Values in Action Award for the end-year 2019. This is an award to recognize the contributions and achievements of an individual or team across AMSA. The award is given twice a year, mid-year and end-year. This is the highest recognition for an AMSA employee who makes a positive contribution and demonstrates dedication to ensure ASMA delivers on its objectives. Our Chowdhury Sadaruddin 19E received the end-year award for 2017 followed by Qamruzzaman 11E the mid-year award for 2018 (https://themaritimeblog.org/2018/10/amsa-awards-m-quamruzzaman-11e-with-value-in-action/). Now Naweed achieving the end-year award for 2019. This is an excellent feat for Bangladeshi Mariners in AMSA, a hat trick in three years in a row considering there are about 450 employees.

Naweed has always been considered a valuable member and asset for AMSA by his team and AMSA management for exceptional skills and high work ethics. This award is just a mere recognition as his dedication and achievements are even larger.

We are proud of Naweed, as we consider this as an achievement for all the Bangladeshi Mariners.

The above has been based on excerpts from an email of Qamruzzaman 11E AMSA Canberra, Australia
