Passed away on May 16, 2017 in Singapore

The entire alumni and the Bangladeshi mariners were stunned and saddened by the sudden death of Mr. Harun Ur Rashid (23N). He leaves behind a wife and 2 daughters. Mariners in all cross sections throughout the world prayed to Allah to accept Harun’s good deeds and place him in Jannnatul Ferdous (heaven). Whoever knows him remembers for his kindness, honesty and mild manners.

Many Mariners remember him from the days when Harun was a pilot in the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA). For them, it is very painful to see him part so early in his life. They all prayed for the solace to Harun’s family and wished for blessings and comfort in this time of grief.

Harun was buried at Lim Chu Kang Muslim cemetery in Singapore. Photos of his burial site are given above.

‘Innaa Lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon'(Truly! To Allaah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return).

“Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception.” Al-i-Imran Verse 185

We pray to ALMIGHTY ALLAH SUBHANAHU TAALA to give brother Harun-Or-Rashid’S family passion and strength to bear this irrecoverable loss.

Those close to Harun are so sorry to hear about this unexpected loss. Many are still in shock which makes it even harder to comprehend his death. There are so many fond memories of him that they will miss him dearly.
