Bangladesh Marine Academy: Golden Jubilee Graduation Parade held on 14 Jan 2016

Golden Jubilee Graduation Parade of 50^th Batch Cadets held at Bangladesh Marine Academy on 14 Jan 2016. In total (Nautical/Engineering) 291 Cadets have completed their 2-years’ Pre-Sea Nautical Science or Marine Engineering course. Now they will have to proceed to ocean-going ships to complete another year on-the-job training to complete Bachelor of Maritime Science and to appear Class III CoC Examination.

Mr. Shajahan Khan MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Shipping and Mr. Ashok Madhab Roy, Secretary, Ministry of Shipping were Chief Guest and Special Guest respectively.

Among the Graduates, Md Saimon Islam (Eng. Cadet) achieved the coveted ‘President’s Gold Medal’, Sheikh Abeer Hasan (Naut. Cadet) and Syed Albab Hasan (Eng. Cadet) got ‘Shipping Ministry Silver Medals’, Abdullah-Al-Mamun (Naut. Cadet), Md. Sakhawat Hossain (Naut. Cadet) and Sakib Hasan (Eng. Cadet)  bagged the ‘Bangladesh Shipping Corporation Medals’, Memi Afroza and Tasnimul Bahar achieved ‘Bangladesh Marine Academy Medals’, Jamiul Alam Arju ‘Prime Bank Gold Medal’, Ridwan Sajid ‘Western Marine Group Medal’, Sajjad Hossain got ‘Prantik Group Medal’, Rabiul Hasan ‘Bangladesh Merchant Officers Association Medal’ and Farzana Yasmin got ‘Freedom Fighter Jannatul Ferdous (late mother of Commandant Sajid Hussain – 15^th) Award’ for their outstanding performance in different areas.
