MoU with Bangladesh Marine Academy

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Academic Cooperation was signed between WMU and the Bangladesh Marine Academy (BMA) on 2 April. WMU welcomed alumnus and WMU Governor, Dr. Sajid Hussain, Commandant of BMA for the signing. The Agreement enables linkages in the field of marine affairs, broadly defined to include maritime safety, security, shipping, and environmental management. Specific areas of cooperation include exchange of faculty members, academic and information exchange, and the potential for WMU to offer short and long terms courses in Bangladesh.
