Dear Capt. Khairul Anam sir,

Thanks for your long and inspiring email. Actually your presence in the events made it successful and memorable which inspired us a lot. Nobody will travel like you all the way from UK to inspire our fellow mariners and next generation. We truly appreciate your efforts.

Please review our all the events, your suggestions will make our future program more attractive.

Hope to see you at our next events with your family. Wish your good health.

Thanks and best regards.

Dear Jamal

Thank you for your very sweet email and for giving me the privilege of attending your very well organised get together at New Orleans on 30 Nov and 1 Dec. It was a rare opportunity for me for re-connecting and engaging with so many of my ex BSC colleagues, other mariners and their family now living in the USA – I availed this and no doubt it was worth travelling all the way to New Orleans and Houston. Had I not gone there, I would not have met our very caring Monir Bhai (4th), the lovely Bhabi for the first time and you all of course – the core people.

Everyone at New Orleans and Houston made me feel very welcome and special, for which I have no language for expressing my appreciation and gratitude. You did not even allow me to make the usual contribution for participating at the get together! Thanks to Hasan Quddus and all other ex colleagues of BSC for organising the dinner at Houston. Thank you for the lovely and very valuable personalised crest that you have presented me at Houston.

I was fascinated and deeply touched by the very warm hospitality and big hearts that you have extended during my stay and I have learnt a lot from you, which would be useful for organising future get togethers in the UK. Your bonding is unique! We will continue to invite you to our future events in the UK, as we did in the past.

I have returned home today with a very happy, fresh and mind. Very many thanks again to the organisers, their wives and children for making the event a successful and memorable one.

Kind regards

Khairul Anam (9th)

Dear Honorable Mariners,

Welcome to New Orleans, LA.

Please note below added info;

I attached driving direction from Kenner, LA to Fountainbleau State Park at Mandeville, LA if anyone don’t like to use GPS.

On departure you don’t have to drive back to New Orleans, you can take I-12 and head out directly to your origin. By doing this you may probably save 30 mins to an hour distance. (Please check driving directions). Those who all are staying at Hotel, you can check out accordingly.

!!IMPORTANT!! There is entrance fee $2 per person which I will pay under the name of “MARINER”. So please don’t pay, tell the name “MARINER” at park entrance and going to Type-3 rental Pavilion. (Map attached).

Our utmost request that please be “ON TIME” at all venue as we want to cover all events as planned.

Have a safe trip to New Orleans, LA.

Thanks and best regards.
