Capt Shakeel Mohbul Haque-25 batch passed away
Dear Mariners,
Another sad news!
It is now Captain Shakeel Mahbubul,s turn.
He was enjoying with his parents until 2 am as they were to fly back to Bangladesh next day.
At around 3 am , when he was asleep, he had heart attack. Though the ambulance arrived within 5 minutes of call & restored breathing, his heart did not function for nearly 25 minutes.
We saw him in ICU in western hospital, Melbourne, lying motionless, a big boy, handsome Shakeel!
I just can not express what a heart breaking sorrow scene I have witnessed with his parents, wife with two little kids.
Only thing, we all can do now is to pray to God, if by natural healing process he can revive , as 90% of the brain cells have been damaged.
In this instance, I may remind our fellow brothers:
Though, Australia has the BEST coronary care in the world, every 10 minutes, an Australian die due to coronary failure and is the highest number of casualty comparison to all deaths combined. Probably, most of us will die due to coronary problems. Please respond to Australian Government’s constant media appeal for free check up.
In case of slightest signs of abnormality, please:
· Do not panic. Instantly dial “000”(every second matters)
· Do not hang up, listen to Operator’s instruction. Stay on the line until ambulance arrive and take over
· Please teach your kids , how to dial “000”
· Please discuss with your wife and children about basic CPR.
Kind Regards
Dilwar Ali
