BANGLADESHI MARINERS GET TOGETHER IN UK 2-3 August 2008

Dear All,

We are proposing a get together of Bangladeshi Mariners in Southampton. The proposed date would be 2-3 August 2008. All mariners are welcome to join us for the event. All are welcome to bring along a guest/guests.

To arrange this event we would like your response so that hall, hotel, catering arrangements, etc can be organised.

We had a small meeting at Mujibar Rahman’s residence in Southampton to have a preliminary discussion on arrangements. Following that, an organising committee was formed.

It is important for us to get an accurate figure of participants for making various arrangements (cost per person would depend on that). Programme details will be circulated at a later date. You are most welcome to put forward your suggestion. If anybody thinks Southampton is not a suitable venue, please suggest another place and organise the proposed “get together”. We will fully support and join.

What we have got in our mind is to arrange a dinner party on the first day and the next day outing to a local beach spot for a more relaxing quality time. Packed lunch will be provided. Hotel booking, room charges per night, etc will be provided once we get your response. Please register your interest without further delay. Send your confirmation to Jahangir or to any one of us.
