Bangladeshi Mariners reunion in Australia: Friday, 20 April 2007 to Monday 23 April 2007

Dear Mariners,

We are very delighted to inform you that Bangladeshi Mariners reunion has been arranged in Merimbula, New South Wales, arriving Friday(20/4/07) noon and departing Monday(23/4/07) morning. We have paid deposit for the entire resort (www.kinnany.com.au).

This resort is about 7 hours drive from Melbourne, 5 hours from Sydney, and 3 hours from Canberra on the pacific coast. Regional airlines fly to Merimbula from various domestic airports of Sydney/Melbourne.

Subject to majority of the participants’ consent, we intend to depart Melbourne/Sydney around 5 am, assemble in a fast food outlet, have breakfast together and drive in convoy for safety and added fun on the way. Inshallah
arrive resort in time to participate Juma prayer and continue a mini-istema until magrib when special prayer will be held for our good health, happiness and prosperity and for the departed souls of various Mariners to
rest in peace.

On Saturday, we intend to enjoy whale watching, while having BBQ in Eden’s exotic light house park.
On Sunday, we intend to organise a cricket match between New South Wales VS rest of Australia.

Further, we intend to organise a treasure hunt expedition for the kids in the resort’s short bush trail(set up by resort management), solo kayaking/rowing competition and fishing competition in resort’s private lake.

Details of Banglow/Bed number for individual member, 70 hours of marathon entertaining program, food menu, duty roster, item to carry,interstate/local maps, emergency phone numbers etc will be postal mailed to participants one month before departure. An event DVD will be mailed to participants after the reunion

You may be aware, New South Wales south end is one of the most popular tourist belt in Australia and Merimbula is the heart of renowned Sapphire coast(www.sapphirecoast.com.au)

Since our glorious seafaring days, we virtually got stranded and rarely find time to go out on excursion.
Let us give our kids and ladies an opportunity to relax and have fun.It would be an unique atmosphere amidst families with similar back ground.
